The 635 East Project is a $1.74 billion design-build roadway construction project by the Texas Department of Transportation to improve mobility, operations and safety along Interstate 635 (I-635) in Dallas County. The project spans 11 miles beginning just east of US 75 in North Dallas to I-30 in Mesquite. Construction began in the spring of 2020 and will last through 2025. The project is being carried out by Pegasus Link Constructors who manages the design, construction, and maintenance. PLC is comprised of two of the world’s largest design-build firms: Fluor Enterprises Inc. and Balfour Beatty Inc.

The Texas Transportation Commission has designated the 635 East Project as part of the statewide Texas Clear Lanes initiative, organized to address the most congested areas in the state. For more information on this initiative, visit the Texas Clear Lanes website.
